Ocean Ridge

Summary

The works at Ocean Ridge, Seabrook comprised the removal and replacement of a partially collapsed cribbing wall with a new engineered retaining wall solution. The Civil Engineering team was appointed to deliver the project within a 14-week programme, which included full site clearance, excavation of 25 metres of foundations, and the placement of C20/25 concrete footings.

The new retaining wall was constructed using the Tobermore Secura Grand system to a final height of 3.8 metres. Comprehensive drainage measures were incorporated, including filter drains and weep holes, with No Fines concrete used as backfill to ensure long-term stability and performance.

The project was completed five weeks ahead of schedule and to a high standard, receiving excellent feedback from the client.

Our task was to create a new site access and provide traffic management, including a temporary pedestrian footpath. We were determined to deliver a top-notch service and ensure that the client was fully satisfied with the end result.
